THE ART OF LETTING GO

Learn to give the gift of goodbye without resentment. This is not just to people even the coulda shoulda’ve events in your life. The bible says all things work for the good for those who love the Lord. We often desire to live in a moment because of how good it makes us feel, same as people we keep people in our lives to fulfil a personal need yet sometimes those things or people are not meant to enter the next phase of your journey. This also applies to us as in you the person that’s letting someone go you too may be the thing that’s been holding someone else back. That doesn’t make you a bad person just means you’re not aligned to God’s will in that person’s life.
The one thing that I’ve realized is that when that happens when we’re removed from people’s lives we regret all the good things we have done for them. There is no shame in doing things out of love for people and whether they stay or not, find peace in knowing that you did that from the bottom of your heart and it’s important to love without expectation.
I know that some situations are painful and it’s easier said than done. I don’t know about you but it takes more energy from me to be bitter about what’s in the past than to move forward peacefully knowing that I’ve done what I can humanly do and that sometimes things don’t go my way.
