Forgiveness

I was watching a show on the investigation discovery about a man who had been wrongfully convicted for rape. After serving 11years in prison for something he did not do he finally found the people who believed in him enough to fight for his innocence.

Mind you throughout the whole show I am very angry with the people who contributed to stealing 11years of this man's life. So when he was finally released the victim who had identified him as her rapist asked to meet with him and just like that he forgave her and all who were involved. It took me a minute to calm down because a part of me was like I'd never forgive them how could they  and wanting them to feel guilty for the rest of their lives. But then I realized how much of a wonderful person this man was, he did not only want to be freed from prison but he freed himself of the prison called 'resentment'.

I feel very humbled to know that such kindness exists in the world. Anyway the moral of the story is that it doesn't matter what people do to you, if you are a good person you will always come ontop and it's okay to give forgiveness a chance :)
